WELCOME! To the new blog from Winchcombe Reclamation Ltd
Here at Winchcombe Reclamation, we love working with reclaimed products; sorting, cleaning and matching them lovingly so as when you come to use them they are as if new. Please take the time to look through our blog to discover more about our company and putting life back into reclaimed materials....

Welcome to our new website

Welcome to our new Website We have been busy developing ideas for nearly a year to bring you a site that allows us to give you more information about our products and services.

We aim to show you more of our fantastic images of products that have been used to brilliant effect by our customers, to help inspire and show the versatility of these wonderful materials.

We also aim to keep you better informed of exciting, new and unique items that find their way to us. Keep looking for a new section for a monthly WRBazaar of new in gems that we have found and perhaps a tempting offer or two!

Finally the new website allows us to expand the way we can communicate directly with you, with an online shop for small items coming very soon.

So keep looking in on our website to keep up to date with all these exciting goings on.

Canadian Barn Project

Back in 2007 a timber framed barn was offered to us for sale. This wasn't anything unusual as these buildings do come to the end of their life as functional agricultural structures and are usually dismantled and stripped for the reclaimed timber within. However, we always feel they should be maintained as complete buildings where possible and when a Canadian client showed an interest we took the opportunity to embark on an exciting project; to dismantle the building and ship it to the West coast of Canada.
Work began in 2008 and the barn was deconstructed carefully and each piece recorded, labelled and stacked into shipping containers.

T
wo years on and construction has commenced with a Canadian carpentry team working with unfamiliar traditional framing techniques from photographs and plans......

Once complete, the barn will be the oldest building to be found on the West coast of Canada and will begin its new life as a charming home.

Website enquiry forms:

It has been brought to our attention that a number of customers are having difficulties with the enquiry form on our website. We are looking into getting this fixed but please call us (01242 609564) with any queries you may have in the meantime.

Our office hours are Mon - Sat 8.30 - 4.30
Or simply send us an e-mail: sales@winchcombereclamation.co.uk

With a view to re-organising to create a new upstairs showroom, we are looking to clear some of our stock of cast iron fireplaces. Please see our website or give us a call. Many bargains to be had.....

Demolition Works

W
e are registered with the CIS as both a contractor and sub-contractor and are fully insured to undertake deconstruction works. These can be projects of any size from taking down a modern bungalow or extension, to being involved with the demolition of large civic buildings to carefully taking apart a timber framed barn to be shipped to Canada and re-built * More on that particular project to come.....

Our approach is very much one of careful deconstruction as opposed to the 'ball & chain' method ensuring all materials are delicately handled, cleaned and suitably packaged by us on site. This guarentees both provenance and quality for our customers.

Sue Ryder Care

We like to choose a nominated charity each year and for 2010 Sue Ryder Care has been selected.
The local Leckhampton Court Hospice does an admirable job of providing residential care, day care and care within the home for patients with life threatening conditions and is currently in it's 30th year of providing this service.

Please follow the link to their website to find out more or continue to check our blog for details of upcoming events.

Look who's back.......There's a definate feeling of Spring in the air at the moment. The weather has improved, lambs are playing in the surrounding fields and we are pleased to see our resident swallows have returned to nest for a third year!
